Verano Lending Technology was founded in Hialeah in 2016 by Princess Harms. Nine years later we still take on a limited number of engagements each quarter so every client keeps a named consultant.
Our story
Started on a kitchen table on Elkview Drive
Princess Harms spent eleven years inside mortgage operations — first as a loan processor, then as a processing supervisor, then as an operations manager responsible for a fifty-person production floor. The recurring frustration was never the people. It was that the origination platform, which cost six figures a year, had been configured once during a rushed implementation and never revisited.
In 2016 she started taking configuration clean-up work for two former colleagues. The first engagement was a conditions library that had grown to over four hundred near-duplicate templates. Consolidating it to sixty-one removed roughly forty minutes of decision time per file. That project became the template for everything Verano does now.
The firm has grown deliberately: seven consultants and two analysts, all with production-floor experience before consulting. We do not hire generalist project managers, and we do not staff engagements with people learning on your file.

Documentation
Every rule we write, every field we map and every automation we build is documented in plain English and handed to your team. No dependency on us afterwards.
Fixed scope
Statements of work name the deliverable, the date and the price. If we misjudge the effort, that is our risk to carry, not a change order for you to absorb.
Respect for the floor
Processors and closers know where the friction is. We interview them before we touch anything, and we say so in the findings memo.

Verano opens
Princess Harms registers the firm in Hialeah and delivers the first conditions-library consolidation for a Broward County lender.
First full LOS migration
A twenty-two branch credit union moves platforms with a nine-week parallel run and zero missed disclosure deadlines.
Remote delivery practice
The training practice moves to a hybrid format during the refinance surge; 640 staff hours delivered that year.
QC and audit practice launches
Formal post-close audit packet design becomes a standalone service after four clients ask for the same deliverable.
140th project delivered
The firm closes the year with 62 lifetime clients and a 4.9 average post-project review score.
